Abanacy
The town of Abancay lies in the southern Peruvian Andes at an elevation of 2,377 meters (7,799 ft) above sea level, above the Pachachaca River, and straddling the Marino River. The city’s surroundings have some breathtakingly beautiful landscapes, such as the Ampay National Sanctuary, a wildlife sanctuary and a frontier within the Andes.
There abancay city also offers Clouded Forest of the Amazonian Basin, a mountain located north of the city known as Apu Ampay (the Lord of Ampay, according to indigenous cosmology). The place attracts a large number of tourists every year.
